I've been using it for 24 hours now and it's pretty slick. I bought a game that uses the "tilt" navigation. It's the iPhone version of this game:

It's pretty fun and buying stuff from the iTunes app store really works well (First purchase - i don't buy non-mp3 music). I bought it on the Mac not the iPhone, but I guess you can purchase stuff through the phone too.
Obviously it has the iPod's usability. Seems like a love it or hate it thing. I personally love it.
Everything you've heard about Mobile Safari is true. It is LIGHT YEARS BEYOND anything I've used on Windows Mobile (including Opera). The multitouch / zoom stuff simply works - and you don't get the feeling there is some "intermediary" between you and the website like you get with most "zoomable" WM browsers. Also, hyperlinks and text entry fields aren't "special" fields that you have to "break out" of the browser to use.
The GPS/maps application is pretty awesome. Yes, I know a Garmin Nuvi does this same thing as well, but I can see myself using this while walking around downtown looking for a specific address (like a restauraunt).
So - overall it's been a really nice experience. Now if only iTunes was "all you can eat" like Napster. Of course that would bring another problem - namely, my Napster library is currently sitting at about 22GB...
